ABTO were initially instructed to undertake a feasibility survey in relation to converting a ground floor vacant shop into a two bed apartment.
After confirming that the project was viable, we proceeded to produce planning and building regulation drawings before submitting a change of use application to the local authority. We also liaised with building control with regards to sound proofing the apartment in conjunction with the building regulations. Party Wall notices were served on the adjoining owners who owned the first floor flat.
ABTO continued their involvement though the construction period within a contract administration and project management capacity, attending weekly site progress meetings to ensure the works were being completed as per the specification and in accordance with the contract.
The end result was a high quality finished apartment that got rented out within 7-days.
