ABTO were appointed to compile full planning and building regulation drawings for a rear extension to a three storey dwelling in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
During our initial consultation, the client advised that they wished to increase their kitchen/living space, whilst maximising the potential of the property. We therefore threw around a few different ideas before settling on completely re-inventing the ground floor layout, by extending out to the rear to create a new open plan living space, before knocking through into an existing bedroom to form the new kitchen/diner.
The existing kitchen was then converted into a bedroom.
Our structural engineer was brought on board to design the steel beams, whilst ABTO completed and submitted the building regulation application.
