ABTO were instructed to provide design options to create additional living space for a property in Tynemouth.
After meeting with the client to run through the different options available, we finally settled on an orangery extension, with the intention of creating a desirable living space that can be utilised all year round.
The proposed lantern roof light will allow plenty of natural light to flood into the room, whilst the brickwork walls will ensure it is kept warm in the winter months. The proposed windows are in keeping with the main house, which is essential as the property falls within the Fish Quay conservation area. Bi-fold doors to the rear incorporate the existing outdoor space into the room, making it a perfect environment for entertaining.
After submitting the proposed drawings for planning permission, we compiled building regulation drawings that have been sent to local reputable contractors for pricing.
